Flat
The Call: Folded and Fierce Cheryl
The flat plane pleases my eye.
The colors, the patterns —
They inspire me to cut,
Layer, tear, paste and paint.
Not my dear Henry, though:
All he wants to do is fold.
The Response: Rain Down — Jessica
I was feeling a bit like Stanley today. It was probably just the weather. Rainy, grey days make my eyes hurt.
Those patterned origami papers are so pretty aren’t they? My guys always pass them by though and just get the boring plain colored papers. Sigh…
I think our kids would get along pretty well too. : )
I bought the patterned paper (the pieces that are still flat) for my own artful endeavors. Henry gets solids and animal patterns.
I imagine our kids would have lots of fun together.
Your shot is the coolest. How did you catch those gorgeous drops? They make me think of crystal chandeliers.
Still haven’t read Flat Stanley.
I was pretty surprised when I opened that up in Lightroom! I had the lensbaby on the camera and had it pointed straight up at the tree. I waited until the wind really started to blow and then took a few shots. It wasn’t showing up at all on the LCD so I thought that it was a complete bust until later.
