Tiny
The Call: Fading into the Background Cheryl
I find self-portraits difficult, because any number of tiny imperfections (like those rosacea pustules) become magnified and result in disproportionately huge feelings of self-consciousness.
The Response: Snow Day — Jessica
A tiny bit of snow and the landscape is transformed. It was only an inch — but that was enough to delay schools and set the scene for some lovely photographs.
Great self-portrait, Cheryl! I love what you did with the (I’m guessing) levels! And I know what you mean about the tiny imperfections — I have a red mole on the side of my head that drives me nuts in pictures. But there is the perfect tool for that — healing brush! One click and it’s gone! I will also admit to “softening” some of my laugh lines…. ; )
Those red berries are so pretty! When I was little, I always colored the pages with beads or berries, and I usually made them red.
The healing brush. Blech. I can’t get it to work for me. I always end up with dark spots where they shouldn’t be. Is there a secret? As to the levels: I didn’t touch them. Other than a reduction in size, my shot is SOOC. I just cranked up the exposure compensation to something like 2.3.
