Because I had promised earlier in the summer to take them back a second time. Because, really, it’s not SO bad. Because my skinny little 6 year old who doesn’t eat anything, will eat their pizza. Because the next day they started school, for real (as opposed to the 1/2 day the day before).
So there we were. The kids were climbing in the tube-y, tunnel thing that hangs from the ceiling (and festers with all sorts of germs, I’m sure). I looked up and noticed I could see myself in the fish-eye at the end of the tube. Why not snap a shot?
Why not, indeed?! Next week, I’ll be joining Willette in her “Finding the Joy” class — taking pictures of myself. Oh boy! No, really, I am excited to do this. For two reasons: my models (aka my kids) are really starting to get tired of the camera and Willette is right — I am absent for almost all of our pictures. We have tons of pictures of the kids and a dozen or so with my husband and the kids. And, like, 2 with me. Well, it’s not really THAT bad.
So a whole month of taking self-portraits. Ouch! I had better go get my roots fixed!
