I’m going to be very literal with this prompt. These are the two cups that get me through the day! ; )
My morning cup of coffee — dark roast with enough half and half to turn it a nice caramel color, and my afternoon (and evening) cup of tea — strong with just a splash of milk.
Still working on that vintage processing look. I think I’m getting closer to what I like though.
I just love your polka-dot tea cup/mug ~ those are I my colors exactly. That bit of milk just adds the perfect element for relaxing, doesn’t it? So glad you hopped on board! I have something a bit different for the next prompt….it should be very interesting!
Isn’t that a fun cup? It was a gift to me from a couple of my friends after
the birth of baby #5. They thought I needed a gift for me rather than
another baby gift. Aren’t friends great?! : )
I can’t wait to see what you come up with next! Your prompts are so clever!
I love the cups. They speak of a more casual way of life. I too drink coffee sometimes in the morning, but always tea at night.
Sometimes I think it’s the evening cup of tea that I look forward to far
more! The kids are finally all put to bed and the house is a little more
quiet. Sigh…. is it bed time yet? : )
I am totally with you on the caramel color! Nothing but real half and half for me. If I have an afternoon cup of tea, I usually have it straight, no cream or sugar. Probably why I don’t like it as much as coffee…
I hear you — that extra bit of creaminess makes all the difference! I don’t
even begin to understand people who put skim milk in coffee. Why? It does
absolutely nothing for the coffee! : )
love your cups here and I am like you, have to have tea in the afternoon and coffee in the morning.
I’m finding that there are quite a few of us like that! : )

I like your happy afternoon cup, it makes me smile.
I also love your polka-dot mug!! I was part of an online social community in 2009 ~ and when you left 100 comments on the blog posts of others in the community, you were sent a beautiful, ceramic mug created by women in Haiti. (The site’s administrator volunteered with this women’s group and travelled to Haiti a few times a year to work with them.)
That mug is MY favourite tea mug – because it epitomizes connection in both my mind and my heart.
So nice to meet you Jessica – looking forward to seeing you again next week!
What a lovely gift and what a reminder of really how close we are all when
you drink from it. That’s a neat story!
