“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.” Charles Dickens
Oh March! You never fail to disappoint!
Sure you start off with some warm days and brighter sun but then again anything is better than February.
The buds on the trees really do begin to swell and color begins to creep slowly back into the landscape — in bits and dots like a painting by Seurat.
And then you go and turn all winter on us! Grey and gloomy, wet and cold. It’s really not fair to play with our affections like that. I’m tired of all your games.
I’m shutting the door on you now, March, and I’m going to go inside and tidy up a bit for April. She’s much more pleasant to be around.
Even if she does make me sneeze.
I am enjoying your blog! I welcome the sneezy season – sure beats what we’ve had. We’ve never had a winter hang on for so long before.
Thanks, Karen! I know what you mean — on the ride home from school this
afternoon it began to rain — ice!! Sigh, it will warm up eventually, right?
those are a few of my favorite blooms too…such a lovely time Spring is.
Beautiful shots! I really like the first one!
