Wow! Thirty minutes of effort (and most of that spent trying to find the tape and tissue paper) and absolutely no cost and look at the light it created! Oh, this is so exciting.
Do you see the detail in that dogwood blossom? I’ve never been able to stop down the aperture on my macro lens enough to really capture the detail so well. Wow!
Pretend you don’t see the Mario pajamas behind the lightbox. Not sure where they came from….It took me a few minutes to figure out which side to light with the flash and which side to let the window light act as fill.
I did this also, back in December!! It was far from pretty, but it worked, and I cannot tell you how much use I have found for it. Have fun, and I look forward to seeing more from it here!
Have a beautiful weekend!
Thanks, Lisa! You too! : )
I’ve thought about making a light box, but just never have gotten around to it. Great capture! You really are experimenting with light these days!
I had a couple of hours this morning while my 4 year old was at preschool
and the baby was actually napping — otherwise I don’t think I would have
attempted it. But I can’t wait to try it out on some other things. I do plan
on cutting the bottom off – that way I can put it down over flowers outside
and get the added benefit of a windbreaker.

you are clever, thought about making one of these but never got around to it. Love your shots and your textures, beautiful!
