Every April in the DC area, bare brown branches suddenly burst into color and everywhere you look the trees have turned into pale pink clouds. It really is breathtaking and one of things that I have enjoyed most about living up here. I still miss my bluebonnets and indian paintbrush but realistically we won’t be moving back to Texas anytime soon. So for me, for now, cherry trees mean springtime.
There is so much going on in this picture. It’s been a long time since I really layered up a picture like this one as you can see.
No tips today but if you click on the picture you can see all my layers and the curve adjustment layer… Still trying to play catch-up –you know the drill, I’m sure. : )
Hi Jessica! I can just smell these blossoms- what a beautiful evocative image that says “springtime!”
Thanks for sharing your post-processing too- you have inspired me to explore the use of gradients more.
I’m glad that we connected today!
Wonderful! Gradients can be super powerful — here a video tutorial l I did
about using gradient
maps.
Enjoy! : )
I love your image! It is so soft and welcoming. I love the subtle text you added. Thanks for visiting my blog today. It is so inspirational to see how others approach layers and textures!
Peace!
This is just gorgeous!!
I was able to experience Cherry Blossom time in DC several years ago, and it is definitely something not to be missed. Amazing beauty!
