Our dentist is over thirty miles away from our home. It sounds crazy but he really is that good. And, after all, if you’re lucky, you only have to see him twice a year. Right?
The best part about a trip to the dentist, though, is the beautiful Virginia countryside that we get to drive through. The rolling hills, the ivy covered stone walls, the colonial era houses…it’s just breathtaking at any time of the year.
I’ve always wanted to do a photo walk around the dentist’s office but usually I’ve had to rush off to retrieve children from school. But not today. I had an early appointment and I made sure to schedule nothing afterwards so I could take my camera (and the baby) and stroll around oh-so-charming Middleburg.
Well, yes, I did feel very self-conscious the first time I pulled out the camera. But in no time at all, I was definitely in the zone and clicking away. I could hardly believe that a whole hour had gone by.
I’ll be sharing more interesting photos as the week goes on, but this was actually the corner that I spent a good deal of time at. And what is more Virginian that Madison and Marshall?
