I made it to the Old Lucketts Store yesterday. I had to go back to Lucketts to retrieve my daughter from a nearby camp and I left early to make sure that I had time to spend at the store. Oh my! Am I ever glad that I did!
It was gorgeous! And overwhelming! I didn’t know where to start…not one but three vintage typewriters? Mirrored trays and distressed windows, stained glass and pretty little items everywhere I turned. And I only had thirty minutes. Sadly, I had not anticipated the amount of traffic going north on Route 15 on Friday afternoon.
And in my state of overwhelm, I completely forgot about getting pictures. Until finally at the end, the late afternoon sun reminded me that, yes, that light was gorgeous on those vintage bottles and I better pull that camera out now or I was going to seriously regret it later.
I will be going back. And soon as I can spare a couple of hours — or at least half a day!
I love Lucketts! It’s such an adorable town with great shops. Now all they need is a cute little restaurant to eat lunch at. Where do you live Jessica? I’m in New Market, close to Frederick. Maybe we could meet in Lucketts one day.
Oh my gosh, I want to go! That’s the kind of place I just love.
