I’ve been interested in photography that tells stories for more than a few years now. For the past couple of weeks I’ve been mulling over the idea of starting a series on the blog based on storytelling. That’s the idea here: take photos of an “event” during the week and then post the edited story on Monday. So here is a little “event” that I staged — only in part to take pictures!

A beautiful day, unbelievable temperature…and no where to go. We decided to put up the tent and hang out in the backyard.

All that running around and interacting with his little siblings wore the teenager out. He had to retreat to electronics…and Monster.
So much for our backyard camping adventure. The tent remained up the rest of the day. Late afternoon, several kids went back out and had some popcorn and juice in there. The next day threatened rain so we had to take it down.
Now to start working on next week’s story.
A lovely memory to share in words and pictures….
This brings back such wonderful memories of when my kids used to back yard camp.
It looks like they had fun, Jessica!
