I don’t take a lot of online classes (at least not as many as I come across and would LIKE to take). After all there are only so many hours in a day and I feel just awful if I pay the fee and then can’t keep up with the work. It sits in the back of my mind burning a hole in my conscious. So I try to limit myself to ones that I know I’ll be able to keep up with. I’m currently working through Kim Klassen’s year long Be Still class on still life photography.
This week, she brought up a concept that I am very familiar with, still life portraits. Several years ago, when I was working on a 365 project, I took a week or so to work through a still life of objects from each member of the family — all the kids (six at that point) myself and my husband. It was a lot of fun. It was also the month that I limited myself to my brand-new Lensbaby in order to really learn it.
Here’s the collection:
So, I guess my next project will be updating it. It’s funny to me to see how many of their interests have not changed all that much. I know mine sure hasn’t. : )
What fantastic project, Jessica!
Thanks, Lisa! It will be fun to do an update (and add the almost three year old!)
