I loved Isak Dinesen’s short stories — read just about every one the summer after I graduated from college. So I was thinking “movie??” as I was slicing up this heavenly chocolate cake that my husband and I have been really enjoying over past few nights. Really a very sinful treat — but sometimes well deserved. Right? Just like in the movie — when the cook creates a glorious feast for the members of a strict family. Okay, maybe it’s a stretch but I just ran out of time to try my hand at “Gone With the Wind!” : )
I’ve been using my ipod for the 365 lately. I’m really liking the hipstamatic app — except that it is really noisy when I take the shots at night — even with the flash.
I can’t help it — I love that 70s vintage feel. And August is so crazy anyway I may as well make things simple for myself.
Now, off to Target for back-to-school stuff… (only 1 1/2 more weeks!)
lovely … Isak Dinesen was quite a woman wasn’t she?
Love Isak Dinesen and loved the “Babette’s Feast”, wonderful movie!
and this image has such a beautiful vintage feel…
Love your image and the way you edited it. I love the vintage look too.
I love your photo! I use Hipstamatic a lot, too. It has some cool features! Babette’s Feast is one of my favorite food movies!
I guess I’ll have to pick up some Isak Dinesen titles. I’ve never read any. Your nighttime snack looks yummy.
