Privacy Policy

This page is published by Secretum Meum Mihi Press LLC. The short version: we ask for your name and email so we can tell you when registration opens, and we count visitors so we know whether anyone is finding the page. That is the whole of it.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Not to advertisers, not to other ministries, not to anyone.

What we collect

Two things, and they are separate from each other.

When you join the waitlist, we collect the first name and email address you type into the form. Nothing else. We do not ask for and do not receive payment information on this page.

When you simply visit, we collect anonymous usage information through Google Analytics: which pages were viewed, roughly what part of the world the visit came from, what kind of device was used, and which link brought you here. This is counted in aggregate. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not try to connect it to your email address.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser so that returning visits are not counted twice. That is what they are for here. You can block or delete them in your browser settings at any time, and the page will work exactly as it does now.

If you would rather not be counted at all, Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Analytics everywhere: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

How we use what you give us

Your email address is used to:

That is all. Every email includes an unsubscribe link that works in one click, and we would genuinely rather you unsubscribe than stay on a list you do not want to be on.

Who else handles your information

We use two services, and each one holds only what it needs:

Your rights

Wherever you live, you may:

Residents of the European Union and the United Kingdom have further rights under the GDPR, including data portability and the right to complain to your national data protection authority. California residents have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what is collected and to request deletion. We honor these requests from everyone, not only where the law requires it.

To exercise any of this, write to hello@houseofgold.net and we will take care of it.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, you come off the active list. If you ask us to delete you outright, we do, and it is gone. Analytics data expires automatically after fourteen months.

Children

This page is written for adult women and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If anything material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page rather than quietly editing the text.

Questions about any of this: hello@houseofgold.net. We are a very small publication and a real person will read it.
